GIS 4035 Module 3: Introduction to Electromagnetic Radiation, Satellite Sensors and Digital Image Processing
This weeks lab we looked over techniques, theories, and concepts concerning digital image processing. A concept that we learned and practiced was EMR or Electromagnetic Radiation. Electromagnetic Radiation is a source of radiation that includes visible light, radio waves, gamma rays, and X-rays. With learning this concept in the general class it helped me to understand it in greater detail in lab. The project that we worked on this week was first using the application known as ERDAS and then moving the created picture from ERDAS to Arc GIS Pro. This weeks lab was very simple and easy to understand and I didn't have much trouble completing the lab or the process summary. The only issue that I had with this lab was trying to add in the amount of acres the classified areas covered. Thankfully I had the help of another student and the Lecture to help me finally complete the above map layout. Everything else was super easy and didn't take much time to finish and process.
