GIS 4043 Week 6
This week's lab was the most difficult lab I have had to do yet. It took me nearly 10 times to get the georeferencing of the buildings correct. Once the buildings were set then I had to go through and delete all the big control points. Of course, this began to slightly distort my image little by little. I was finally able to take 170 control points down to 10 to where the image looked in place. The next part was adding a second map to georeference, this part didn't take as long as the first thankfully. However, these next few steps afterward were beyond difficult. Trying to figure out how to place the map in a location similar to the example for my final layout proved to be harder than I expected and sadly I did not get it in the spot I needed to. The most frustration with this project was the control points and the setting of the map. If I am being honest, this lab-made my blood boil because I got so frustrated with it. I'm happy the lab is over, but I still need to figure out how to move the map properly for future labs.
